Venetian plaster is one of the most sophisticated wall finishes available — a centuries-old Italian technique that creates a luminous, marble-like surface with extraordinary depth and texture. Unlike paint or wallpaper, genuine Venetian plaster (known as stucco veneziano or marmorino) is composed of slaked lime putty and marble dust, applied in multiple thin coats and burnished to a high sheen with a steel trowel.
